PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky rice transplanter easy to travel on a road and load on the platform of a trolley through suppressing the overhang of an agrochemical spreader in the vehicle cross direction in such a condition that a seedling planting apparatus is switched to a folded mode. SOLUTION: This sulky rice transplanter has the following construction and mechanism: The seedling planting apparatus 7 is composed of right and left planting portions dividedly in two and so constructed as to be switchable between the working mode of laterally joining the right and left planting portions in the transverse direction of the vehicle body and the folded mode of separating the right and left planting portions and arranging the reverse faces of seedling stands against each other in the transverse direction of the vehicle body, and the agrochemical spreader joined and supported via a supporting part on the rear portion of the seedling planting apparatus 7 is designed to be shiftable between a housing position approaching the seedling planting apparatus 7 and a spreading position set apart from the apparatus 7.
