PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a system for guiding a visually impaired person using IC tags laid in a floor surface, the system reading the IC tags embedded in the floor surface using a white cane-type information terminal device, the IC tags having a communication range limited approximately to the tags' size, resulting in the problem in which reduction in the number of times of encounters between the white cane and the tags makes road guidance be difficult when density of the tags is low and, on the contrary, raising laying density of the tags reduces communication sensibility because of magnetic interference.SOLUTION: There is provided a communication mat that only by being laid on a floor or road surface and used, is capable of performing communication to the degree similar to that in the case of laying IC tags in high density, even when actual laying density of the IC tags is low. When a pedestrian or the like with a tag reader mounted on his/her leg moves on the communication mat, information can be acquired from the plurality of IC tags laid in the floor surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】 床面にＩＣタグを敷設して視覚障害者を誘導するシステムでは、白杖式の情報端末装置で床面に埋設した前記ＩＣタグを読み取るが、前記ＩＣタグの通信範囲がタグのサイズ程度に限られており、タグの密度が低いと白杖とタグとの遭遇回数が減って道案内が難しくなるし、逆にタグの敷設密度を高めると、今度は磁気干渉により通信感度が低下するという問題がある。【解決手段】 床面や路面に敷設して使用するだけで、前記ＩＣタグの実際の敷設密度が低くても、前記ＩＣタグを高密度で敷設した場合と同程度の通信ができる通信マットを提供する。歩行者等が脚部にタグリーダを装着して前記通信マット上を移動すると、床面に敷設された複数の前記ＩＣタグから情報を取得することができる。【選択図】図１１
