PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoking agent composition by which chemicals can efficiently be evaporated into air by an indirect heating method, and which exhibits excellent safety and practicability, and to provide a smoking method.
SOLUTION: The smoking agent composition used by being indirectly heated contains (A) at least one kind of chemicals for controlling pest insects, and (B) at least one kind of heat-generating base agents. The heat-generating base agent (B) contains (b1) at least one kind of compounds selected from the group consisting of a guanidine derivative and nitrates. The contents of the chemicals (A) for controlling pest insects, and the compound (b1) are 0.1-35 mass% and 30-80 mass% respectively. The smoking method includes indirectly heating the smoking agent composition.
