PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat and a fishing rod in which a feeling of fitting in the palming is improved, and thereby the burden of a fisherman can be reduced.SOLUTION: A reel seat includes a cylindrical reel seat body having a reel leg placing part 5 where a reel leg 101 of a double shaft reel 100 is placed on the upper surface, and also has a configuration where a rod body 1 penetrates through the reel seat body.
