Apparatus for deploying a tubular medical (200) device in vivo comprises an elongate element (10) for passing into the bore of the medical device, a deployment device having at least one arm for engaging with the medical device, the arm being moveable in a radial direction relative to the longitudinal axis of the elongate element from a first position to a second position, the second position being spaced radially further from the elongate element than the first position, and a thread (60) for the arm, said thread being associated with the arm such that pulling on the thread moves said arm from the second position towards the first position, whereby in use movement of the arm from the first position to the second position enables radial deployment of the medical device.L'invention porte sur un appareil pour déployer un dispositif médical tubulaire (200) in vivo, lequel appareil comprend un élément allongé (10) destiné à passer dans l'alésage du dispositif médical, un dispositif de déploiement ayant au moins un bras destiné à venir en prise avec le dispositif médical, le bras pouvant se déplacer dans une direction radiale par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de l'élément allongé d'une première position à une seconde position, la seconde position étant davantage espacée radialement de l'élément allongé que la première position, et un fil (60) pour le bras, ledit fil étant associé au bras de telle sorte qu'une traction sur le fil déplace ledit bras de la seconde position vers la première position, ce par quoi, en utilisation, un déplacement du bras de la première position à la seconde position permet un déploiement radial du dispositif médical.
