An image processing method applied by a medical imaging device is proposed, including at least one camera and at least one display screen on which is displayed a medical image showing a region of interest of a patient, the method being characterized in that the region of interest is determined by the following steps, the screen and the camera being laid out so as to be facing a practitioner simultaneously, acquisition by the camera of at least one tracking image containing the eyes of the practitioner, analysis of the tracking image so as to localize in the medical image at least one pixel of interest contemplated by the practitioner on the screen from the orientation of the eyes of the practitioner, processing the medical image so as to select the region of interest from the localized pixel of interest.L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'image appliqué par un dispositif d'imagerie médicale, comprenant au moins une caméra et au moins un écran d'affichage sur lequel est affichée une image médicale montrant une région d'intérêt d'un patient, le procédé étant caractérisé par le fait que la région d'intérêt est déterminée par les étapes suivantes, l'écran et la caméra étant disposés de façon à faire simultanément face à un praticien : l'acquisition par la caméra d'au moins une image de suivi contenant les yeux du praticien, l'analyse de l'image de suivi de façon à localiser dans l'image médicale au moins un pixel d'intérêt observé par le praticien sur l'écran à partir de l'orientation des yeux du praticien, et le traitement de l'image médicale de façon à sélectionner la région d'intérêt à partir du pixel d'intérêt localisé.
