PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking unit of a dual-bearing reel in which a rotary balance of a spool is improved.SOLUTION: A braking part 30 of a dual-bearing reel 100 is a device for braking a rotatable spool 12 to a reel body 1 of the dual-bearing reel 100. The braking part 30 includes a coil 46 as an electric conductor and a braking magnet 44. The reel body 1 is provided with the coil 46. The braking magnet 44 is provided to a spool shaft 16 of the spool 12.
