A subject-matter of the present invention is a transgenic mouse model of neuroinflammatory disorders of motor function, in particular of demyelinating diseases, like multiple sclerosis, wherein the transgenic mouse is hemizygous and overexpresses a stabilized form of human beta-catenin from a single Rosa26 allele. A further subject- matter of the invention is the use of said model in the evaluation of potential pharmacological agents for the treatment of these pathologies, as well as diagnostic methods.
