A neck brace, or cervical collar, formed from a blank of material, preferably cardboard, having an axis of symmetry along a mid-line and having, either side of the mid-line, a front 18 and rear 19 section. The front 18 and rear 19 sections each comprise a lower edge 13 and an upper edge 11, and wherein the lower edge 13 provides a single wave formation 14 and the upper edge provides two wave formations 12； an axis of symmetry of the single wave formation 14 being aligned with an axis of symmetry of the two wave formations 12. At least one crease line 15, 16 that mirrors the contours of the lower edge 13 is further provided spaced from the lower edge 13, the crease line(s) 15, 16 allowing for the lower edge 13 to be folded along the line 15, 16. The brace also provides fastening members at the outer edges of both the front and rear sections and a chin supporting member 21 at the upper edge 11 of the front section 18. In a preferably arrangement multiple crease lines 15, 16 are provided allowing for the brace to be fitted to a range of neck sizes.
