One subject of the present invention is a cosmetic composition for coating keratin fibres, especially eyelashes. The invention also relates to a cosmetic method for making up or treating keratin fibres, such as the eyelashes. For this purpose, the invention relates to a composition for making up keratin fibres which comprises the combination of at least one linear polymer, at least one crosslinked polymer, at least one copolymer and particles that are insoluble, spherical and chemically inert with respect to the other components, the total sum of the specific surface areas of said particles being between 0.5 and 1000 m2/g per 100 g of composition, and the ratio between (a) the amount of copolymers and (b) the sum of the amounts of linear and crosslinked polymers is between 0.5 and 20. The composition according to the invention is threading and this property is responsible for an elongating effect of the keratin fibres, the thread formed breaking above a certain critical strain. The present composition also has a good keratin fibre separating power.La présente invention a pour objet une composition cosmétique de revêtement des fibres kératiniques, notamment des cils.
