PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems where because, in an upper cover which encloses the upper part of a threshing chamber of a thresher, an engaging hook which is to engage an engaged body is energized by a spring in the engaging direction, when opening the upper cover, a user must operate it, resisting the elasticity of the spring, so that its operation load is heavy and hardens the operation.SOLUTION: In a combine, a retainer 25 is structured as follows. The retainer 25 which fixes an upper cover 20 comprises: an engaged body 26 which is provided on the side of a machine casing 24 and an engaging hook 27 which is provided on the side of the upper cover 20. In the retainer 25, there is provided a spring 28 which energizes the engaging hook 27 in the direction that the engaging hook 27 engages with the engaged body 26.
