PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving device for a wheelchair, capable of moving the wheelchair in a desired direction, particularly a lateral direction, without changing the direction by an operation by a passenger in the state of sitting in the wheelchair without moving from a normal wheelchair to a different moving means.SOLUTION: The moving device 1 for a wheelchair includes: an electric carriage 2 provided with a carriage body 3 and first and second drive casters (10, 20) and separation devices (30, 40) provided on the carriage body 3 of the electric carriage 2. The first and the second drive casters (10, 20) are provided with an electric motor and capable of freely varying a drive direction.
