A hair fiber treating method not containing a fixing step, comprising, applying to the hair fibers at least one reducing composition, free of ceramide, comprising at least one reducing agent； and raising the temperature of the hair fibers using a heating iron at temperature of at least 60° C., wherein the temperature of the hair fibers are raised before or after the hair fibers are optionally rinsed.
