PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crop pick-up machine in which preparation work can be made with allowance when harvesting the crops being picked up.SOLUTION: A crop pick-up machine is provided with a pick-up device 2 for picking up crops P on the surface soil of a field A and conveying them to the rear in a traveling machine body 1, is provided with an endless slat conveyor 3 for circulating and moving horizontally by placing the crops P on many slat plates 32 to the conveyance destination of the pick-up device 2, is mounted with a back plate 35 to a peripheral edge of each slat plate 32, is mounted with a spring to regulate so that the back plate 35 may rise outwardly and a sidewall body 36, or is provided with a standing guide for making the back plate 35 stand up. When a worker determines that the amount cannot be processed, the back plate 35 is made to stand up by using an operation lever to be passed without being discharged, and it can be conveyed in the front of the worker again.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
