PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chlorine dioxide controlled releasing agent by which various kinds of effects owned by a chlorine dioxide gas can be kept for a long period of time, and to provide the chlorine dioxide controlled releasing agent contained in a container.SOLUTION: The chlorine dioxide controlled releasing agent X includes a fiber material 10 equipped with an extremely thin water-absorbent fiber 1 which swells in the diametrical direction by absorbing a chlorine dioxide dissolved liquid in which chlorine dioxide is dissolved, and also, of which the diameter is 1 to 100 &mum.
