According to the cleansing composition, a ratio (short axis/long axis) of a short axis with respect to a long axis of a needle crystal of the N-acyl acidic amino acid salt (A) is not less than 0.12, and a cream-type cleansing composition including the N-acyl acidic amino acid salt as a major component is produced through a general production method. The composition is re-heated to a crystallization temperature, and is agitated.
