The object of the present invention was to develop an active agent combination comprising at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid and at least one carotenoid prior to the use of hair quality and more particularly the active agent combination. It is a method used orally for cosmetic purposes to improve the quality of the hair at the zone level. This combination of active agents can also contain vitamin E, vitamin C or combinations thereof as optional active agents. The active agent combination is preferably used in cosmetic compositions suitable for oral administration such as food supplements.
