The cosmetic compound, based on an acceptable aqueous medium, contains at least one cationic surfactant, at least one ester of sorbitan oxyethylene and a saturated fatty acid, and a non-siliconised liquid fat. The sorbitan oxyethylene ester has no more than 10 ethylene oxide moles, and the non-siliconised fat is liquid at 25 degrees C and comprises no more than 8 per cent by weight of the compound's total composition. The cationic surfactants are selected from primary, secondary or tertiary fatty amine salts, optionally polyoxyalkylenised, quaternary ammonium salts and mixtures of these, and comprise preferably 0.05 - 4 per cent by weight of the compound. The non-siliconised liquid fat is selected from fatty oxyethylene alcohols, fatty esters, vegetable oils, hydrocarbonated oils and mixtures of these.
