PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial and deodorization treating agent capable of imparting high antibacterial and deodorant properties to various articles and excellent in friction hardness after the treatment of the articles.SOLUTION: The antibacterial and deodorization treating agent includes fine inorganic oxide particles containing an antibacterial and deodorant metal component within a range of 0.1-20 wt.% in terms of an oxide, organic resin with a molecular weight of 400-50,000 and a dispersion medium and is characterized in that the concentration ratio of the organic resin as a solid component to the concentration of the antibacterial and deodorant inorganic fine particles as a solid component is within a range of 0.001-1 and the concentration of the whole solid component is within a range of 0.001-20 wt.%.
