PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line-of-sight detection apparatus configured to calculate a line-of-sight direction with high accuracy in a wide angle range in an image obtained by a camera.SOLUTION: In a line-of-sight direction calculation section in a control section, a first calculated value D1 for a line-of-sight direction is obtained from the center of a pupil and a reflection point of corneal reflection light, a second calculated value D2 for the light-of-sight direction is obtained by calculating an elliptical shape of an iris or the pupil, and a third calculated value D3 for the line-of-sight direction is obtained on the basis of a direction of a face and a relative position between the irises or the pupils in the eyes. One of the calculated values D1, D2, D3 is selected to calculate a line-of-sight direction accurately in a wide range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】 カメラで取得した画像で視線方向を広い角度範囲で高精度に算出できるようにした視線検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】 制御部の視線方向算出値において、瞳孔の中心と角膜反射光の反射点とから視線方向の第1の算出値D1が得られ、黒目または瞳孔の楕円形状を算出することで視線方向の第2の算出値D2が得られ、顔の向きと目における黒目または瞳孔の相対位置とで視線方向の第3の算出値D3が得られる。算出値D1,D2,D3のいずれかを選択することで、広い範囲で精度よく視線方向を算出できる。【選択図】図7
