PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the balance of the frame rate of a contrast image and the image quality of a reference image.SOLUTION: The reference image is formed by manually or automatically switching between a received signal according to a transmitting pulse for contrast imaging, or the received signal according to a transmitting pulse for reference after transmitting the pulse is switched manually or automatically. The frame rate of the contrast image is not reduced until/unless the transmitting pulse for reference is transmitted. Further, the reference image with good image quality can be obtained when the transmitting pulse for reference is transmitted.
