PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe, which can be positioned to and held by a syringe pump, and can be prevented from being displaced axially to accurately discharge a medical solution.SOLUTION: The syringe 2 for a syringe pump includes a flange holding groove 9 which retains a flange portion 5 provided at the base end of an outer cylinder 3 of the syringe 2 storing the medical solution, and is configured to push out the medical solution by pushing a pusher 4 inserted to the syringe outer cylinder with the flange portion being retained by the flange holding groove.
