The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the synergic combination of an antimicrobial agent such as ciprofloxacin and a selective enkephalinase enzyme inhibitor such as racecadotril, as well as to pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, which are formulated in a single dosage unit to be administered orally.
