The present invention relates to a device for treating an animal carcass comprising a steam drum having a space for receiving an animal carcass formed therein and having an inlet for putting an animal carcass into the receiving space formed at one side thereof； a cover hinge-connected to the steam drum to open and close the inlet； a steam supply part for supplying steam into the steam drum to sterilize the animal carcass contained in the receiving space； and a locking part for locking the steam drum by sticking the cover fast to the steam drum. The device for treating an animal carcass according to the present invention improves the reliability of treating an animal carcass with steam by preventing the cover from being separated from the inlet by high-pressure steam in the steam drum because the cover is fixed by sticking the cover fast to the device for treating an animal carcass.본 발명은 동물 사체 처리장치에 관한 것으로서, 내부에 동물 사체가 수용되는 수용공간이 마련되고, 일측에 수용공간으로 동물 사체를 투입할 수 있는 투입구가 형성된 증기드럼과, 증기드럼에 힌지결합되어 투입구를 개폐하는 덮개와, 수용공간 내에 수용된 동물 사체를 살균처리할 수 있도록 증기드럼 내부에 스팀을 공급하는 스팀공급부와, 증기드럼에 덮개를 밀착시켜 잠그는 잠금부를 구비한다. 본 발명에 따른 동물 사체 처리장치는 덮개를 증기드럼 측으로 밀착시켜 고정하므로 증기드럼 내부의 고압스팀에 의해 투입구로부터 덮개가 이격되는 것을 방지하여 스팀에 의한 동물 사체 처리 작업의 신뢰성을 향상시키는 장점이 있다.
