PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus which can detect the body movement of a subject without using a special device.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes a measuring section having an X-ray generator and an X-ray detector arranged face to face with the subject interposed in between, an action control section controlling the driving of the measuring section, a body movement characteristics computing section computing the body movement characteristics. The action control section irradiates the subject with X rays for a period longer than the subjects respiration cycle and makes the measuring section perform preliminary imaging to collect detection result data in the X-ray detector every specified period. The body movement characteristics computing section computes an average value Rave of X-ray attenuations at all detection elements for every sampling timing from the detection result data obtained by the preliminary imaging. Data variations due to respiration are extracted from the average value Rave of the X-ray attenuations and computes the cycle T and the variation period U of the respiration from the extraction result.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】専用の装置を用いることなく、被検体の体動を検出でき得るX線CT装置を提供する。【解決手段】X線CT装置は、被検体を挟んで対向配置されたX線発生器およびX線検出器を備えた測定部と、当該測定部の駆動を制御する動作制御部と、体動特性を算出する体動特性算出部と、を備える。動作制御部は、被検体の呼吸周期より長時間に渡って被検体にX線を照射するとともに、規定時間ごとにX線検出器での検出結果データを収集する予備撮影を測定部に実行させる。体動特性算出部は、予備撮影により得られる検出結果データから、各サンプリングタイミングごとに、X線減衰量の全検出素子での平均値Raveを算出する。そして、このX線減衰量の平均値Raveから、呼吸に起因するデータ変動部分を抽出し、この抽出結果から、呼吸の周期Tや変動期間Uを算出する。【選択図】図6
