The present invention relates to an antimicrobial ball that has an antimicrobial function for plant cultivation, and to a plant cultivation method using same. More particularly, the present invention relates to an antimicrobial ball for plant cultivation, and to a plant cultivation method using same, wherein the antimicrobial ball for plant cultivation is characterized by: being prepared by mixing silica nanotubes containing metal nanoparticles with zeolite powder, thereby improving the dispersibility of the metal nanoparticles and exhibiting excellent antimicrobial ability due to the silica nanotubes containing metal nanoparticles and zeolite； increasing plant growth and yield by applying the antimicrobial ball to soil or to the medium in which a plant is cultivated, thereby efficiently inhibiting the proliferation of various kinds of bacteria and fungi from inhabiting the plant root； and further increasing plant growth and yield in that, unlike conventional antimicrobial means that are applied in sheet form, the antimicrobial ball is applied to the soil or medium in ball form so as to not only enable better mixing with the soil or medium, but so as not to interfere with the rooting of the plant.본 발명은 항균기능을 갖는 식물 재배용 항균볼 및 이를 이용한 식물 재배방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 실리카 나노튜브에 금속 나노입자를 함유시킨 금속 나노입자 함유 실리카 나노튜브에, 제올라이트 분말을 혼합하여 항균볼을 제조함으로써, 금속 나노입자의 분산력을 향상시키면서도 상기 금속 나노입자함유 실리카 나노튜브와 제올라이트에 의해 우수한 항균성능을 구현할 수 있으며, 상기와 같은 항균볼을 식물이 재배되는 토양 또는 배지에 적용함으로써, 식물의 뿌리에서 서식하는 각종 세균 및 곰팡이의 증식을 효율적으로 억제하여 식물의 생장과 수확량을 증가시킬 수 있도록 하며, 또한, 종래 기술과 같은 시트형태의 항균수단과 달리, 볼(ball) 형태의 항균볼을 토양 또는 배지에 적용함으로써, 토양 또는 배지와 잘 섞일 뿐만 아니라 식물의 발근을 방해하지 않음에 따라 식물의 생장과 수확량을 더욱 증가시킬 수 있도록 하는 식물 재배용 항균볼 및 이를 이용한 식물 재배방법에 관한 것이다.
