To provide an underpants type disposable diaper capable of exhibiting a function for improving a wearing feeling so as to be made different in a back part and in an abdominal part.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper of the present invention comprises an abdominal region, a back region and a crotch region, and comprises: an absorbent body arranged over the abdominal region and the back region； and an exterior body arranged on a non-skin facing surface side of the absorbent body. The exterior body comprises at least, an external layer nonwoven fabric forming a non-skin facing surface, and an internal layer nonwoven fabric forming a skin facing surface. The abdominal region and the back region comprise respectively, an extension part where at least one of the external layer and internal layer nonwoven fabric extends from a waist opening end. A folded part formed by folding the extension part to the skin facing surface side, covers an abdominal end part and a back end part of the absorbent body, respectively.
