The invention relates to a wheelchair having a movable seat and a rigid frame (2) supported on two front wheels (4) and two rear wheels (3), said rear wheels having a greater diameter than those at the front (4). The wheelchair also comprises footrests (9), armrests (6) which are positioned at the mid-height of the upper portion of the frame (2) and can be lowered, and push handles (1) provided on the upper portion.
