PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure pushability of an operator when pushing a medical long body such as an endoscope forward inside the body cavity of a patient.SOLUTION: A medical long body 1 includes a bending mechanism 10 for which a plurality of annular components are combined, and the annular component 2 includes an annular body 3, a projection part 6 projected from the upper end part 3a of the body 3, and a recessed part 11 formed at the lower end part 3b of the body 3. The projection part 6 includes a first projection part 8 having a curved part 8a, and a second projection part 9 formed at the curved part 8a of the first projection part 8.
