The present invention relates to an ecological environment classification method for restoring the habitat of fishes. The present invention includes a step of inquiring about inhabitation characteristics of a target fish species; a step of inquiring spawning characteristics of the target fish species; and a step of inquiring prey characteristics. The inhabitation characteristics are classified according to an inhabitation water system, main habitat (inhabitation location), the size of a river, inhabitation temperature, the structure of a river bed, activating velocity, an ecotype, an action radius, a growth stage in the migration, a migration period, and a swimming type. The spawning characteristics are classified according to a period, a location, water level, a river bed, a temperament, and an action (each). The prey characteristics are classified according to a fry stage and an adult fish stage. The present invention can accurately and rapidly restore a destroyed ecological environment when the ecological environment of a river or a stream is destroyed by developing a stream (or a river) or a downpour; and simply and accurately check ecological characteristics of fishes inhabiting in rivers and streams across the country.
