The invention relates to a method of treatment or prevention of drug addiction, in particular alcoholism, in humans, comprising administering to a subject, in need thereof, an effective amount of a Gly-T1 inhibitor, in particular N-methyl-N-[[(1R,2S)-1,2,3,4- tetrahydro-6-methoxy-1-phenyl-2-naphthalenyl]methyl glycine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.Linvention concerne une méthode visant à traiter ou à prévenir chez lêtre humain la dépendance à une drogue, en particulier lalcoolisme, et qui comprend ladministration à un sujet nécessitant un tel traitement dune quantité efficace dun inhibiteur de Gly-T1, notamment la N-méthyl-N-[[(1R,2S)-1,2,3,4- tétrahydro-6-méthoxy-1-phényl-2-naphthalènyl]méthyl glycine ou dun sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de ce composé.
