PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber treatment agent having excellent adhesiveness to an application part to be capable of improving, protecting or repairing functions and properties of the application part, and an application method of the same.SOLUTION: A fiber treatment agent used to improve strength of a fiber or improve disordering of hair tip by standing or swelling of the fiber is a formulation of a one-component type including effective dose of: a converted protein in which a part or all of disulfide bonds (-S-S-) in the protein are converted to at least one of thiol compound selected from a group of cysteamine, cysteine, and thioglycollic acid and sulfur dioxide； and a reducer, or a formulation of a two-component type including: a first agent with the converted protein and a second agent with the reducer in which total amount of the converted protein contents of the first agent and the second agent, and total amount of the reducer thereof are respectively effective dose.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】適用部位への優れた付着性を有し、適用部位の機能・特性を改善・保護又は補修することができる繊維処理剤及びその使用方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の繊維処理剤は、タンパク質中のジスルフィド結合（－Ｓ－Ｓ－）の一部又は全部が、システアミン、システイン、及びチオグリコール酸からなる群から選択されるチオール化合物並びに亜硫酸のうちの少なくとも１つで変換された変換タンパク質と、還元剤と、を有効量含有する１剤式、あるいは、前記変換タンパク質を含有する第１剤と、前記還元剤を含有する第２剤と、からなり、第１剤及び第２剤中の前記変換タンパク質の含有量の合計及び前記還元剤の含有量の合計がそれぞれ有効量である２剤式の製剤であって、繊維の強度を改善するため又は繊維のハネ若しくはうねりによる毛先の乱れの改善するために用いられる。【選択図】図１
