PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dyeing composition having improved hair dyeing property, and to provide a hair dyeing method using the hair dyeing composition. According to a hair dyeing composition containing polyamide-8 or polyamide-3 and a direct dye, the hair dyeability can be improved. If the hair dyeing composition is blended with di (C12-15) palace-2 phosphoric acid, the hair dyeing property is further improved. If polyvinylpyrrolidone is blended in the hair dyeing composition, it is excellent in suppressing dripping. Further, according to the hair dyeing method using the above hair dyeing composition, the hair dyeing property can be improved.
