A cosmetic composition for the temporary deformation of keratinic fibers, comprises, based on total weight: (a) from 1 to 10% starch particles comprising, based on the weight of the starch particles, al) from 70 to 99 % starch； and a2) from l to 30 % pigment； and b) from 0.5 to 50% of a firming compound selected from the group including waxes, synthetic polymers and mixtures thereof, such as beeswax. Preferably, the starch particles further comprise a constituent selected from the group of polydimethylsiloxanes, cationic surfactants and mixtures thereof. The composition is preferably free from propellant and hydrophobically modified silicon dioxide. The composition may comprise an emulsifier.
