A cosmetic composition for the temporary deformation of keratinic fibers comprises, based on its total weighta) from about 1 to about 10% by weight of starch particles comprising, based on the weight of the starch particles, a1) from about 70 to about 99% by weight of starch, anda2) from about 1 to about 30% by weight of pigment, andb) from about 0.5 to about 50% by weight of a firming compound selected from the group comprising waxes, synthetic polymers and mixtures thereof.
