PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe therapeutic and prophylactic agent of allergy without adverse effects and to provide especially a drug or a food useful for alleviating symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
SOLUTION: The allergy inhibitor comprises an isomaltooligosaccharide as an active ingredient. The allergy inhibitor has actions for reducing the amount of produced IgE antibody and actions for reducing the amount of produced IL-4, IL-5 and/or IL-13. Furthermore, the allergy inhibitor has especially actions for alleviating the symptoms of the allergic rhinitis.
