PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone regeneration material which has excellent physical strength and the same shape as that of a bone before breakage, and can sufficiently replace a newly generated bone.SOLUTION: The bone regeneration material includes a thermal dehydration crosslink body of a coprecipitate between octacalcium phosphate and gelatin. A method for generating the bone regeneration material includes: a step for obtaining a coprecipitate between octacalcium phosphate and gelatin by dropping or injecting, for example, a calcium solution to a solution containing gelatin and phosphoric acid and a step for obtaining a thermal dehydrated crosslink body by heating the coprecipitate.
