PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety antiviral agent with a high antiviral activity, while promoting more use of an apricot vinegar caused as by-products when producing apricot processed foods, and to provide pharmaceutical preparations, quasi drugs, cosmetics, foods, food additives, and feeds with a high antiviral activity.SOLUTION: The antiviral agent of this invention contains an apricot vinegar polyphenol prepared from apricot vinegar, an apricot vinegar polyphenol hydrolysate obtained by hydrolyzing the apricot vinegar polyphenol, and an apricot vinegar polyphenol aglycone which is a composition component of the apricot vinegar polyphenol hydrolysate, having a high antiviral activity and safety. And, the pharmaceutical preparations, the quasi drugs, the cosmetics, the foods, the food additives, and the feeds of this invention comprise the antiviral agent of this invention.【課題】この発明は、梅加工食品を製造する際に副産物として生じる梅酢の利用をより促進するとともに、安全で抗ウイルス活性の強い抗ウイルス物質を提供する。また、強い抗ウイルス活性を備えた医薬品、医薬部外品、化粧品、食品、食品添加物及び飼料を提供する。【解決手段】この発明の抗ウイルス物質は、梅酢から調製した梅酢ポリフェノール、梅酢ポリフェノールを加水分解して得られる梅酢ポリフェノール加水分解物、及び梅酢ポリフェノール加水分解物を構成成分である梅酢ポリフェノールアグリコンを含み、高い抗ウイルス活性と安全性を有するものである。また、この発明の医薬品、医薬部外品、化粧品、食品、食品添加物及び飼料は、この発明の抗ウイルス物質を含むものである。【選択図】 なし
