PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device capable of enhancing the effectiveness in installation of detent mechanisms.
SOLUTION: The transmission device 30 is structured so that speed change fork shafts 41, 42, 43 are installed horizontally on a transmission case 3 and a shift lever 70 is coupled with the fork shafts 41, 42, 43, and the device 30 is equipped with the detent mechanisms 60 which holds the fork shafts 41, 42, 43 in the prescribed shift position, wherein one ends of the fork shafts 41, 42, 43 are protruded from inside the transmission case 3, and the detent mechanisms 60 are installed at the one ends of the fork shafts 41, 42, 43 and a detent mechanism mounting part 65 formed on the outer face of the transmission case 3.
