Mechanism for selectively preventing fluid flow through a resilient tube, comprising: a base for holding the tube locking tab mounted on the base and having a movable tab sliding clamp having a distal end and a proximal end slidably mounted to the base for reciprocating movement in the sliding direction between the pinching position and an open position wherein the slide clamp has an opening through which the tube when the tube is mounted inside the mechanism and where the hole has a tapered region in which the clamped tube when the tube is located within the narrowed area and the expanded area, in which the tube is not clamped when the tube is within the extended area ledge at the distal end of the sliding clamp and adapted to interact with the operators thumb in order to push the slide clamp in the sliding direction toward the open position, the movable lug is located directly behind the collar in the sliding direction, wherein the rim has a prohibitive slipping element which prevents slippage of the operators finger with the collar at least in the sliding direction, wherein the locking lug locks the slide clamp in position prior to release pinched by driving the movable tab in deystvie.2.
