This invention is an automatic device applied in the multilayer cultivation shelves in plant factories to maintain the consistent light intensity on the plant canopy. This device could detect the plant height and move up the light source upward automatically to maintain the consistent distance between plants and the light source. The device provides a consistent light environment during the cultivation. It solves the dilemma caused by the traditional design of fixed position of light: light insufficiency caused by the large distance between the light and plant on the early stage, and the possibility of heat injury on the leaves when the plants grow up to reach the surface of light.
