PURPOSE: A composition containing Forsythia suspensa Vahl extract for preventing or treating high pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 infection is provided. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating high pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 infection contains methanol extract of Forsythia suspensa Vahl as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the composition comprises: a step of pulverizing 30g of dried medicinal herbs and immersing in 300mL of 99% methanol and placing the mixture at room temperature for 24 hours； a step of filtering and decompressing 40 degrees Celsius or less； and a step of freeze-drying the extract.본 발명은 연교추출물을 함유하는 고병원성 조류인플루엔자 H5N1 바이러스 감염예방 및 치료용 조성물을 제공하는 뛰어난 효과가 있다.
