PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape estimation device capable of measuring a shape of an egg through simple processing.SOLUTION: A shape estimation device 1 for estimating a shape of an egg E comprises: a measuring unit 19 that measures weight of the egg E a sensor unit 13 that measures a height or diameter of the egg E and a shape estimation unit 17 that estimates the shape of the egg E on the basis of the weight of the egg E measured by the measuring unit 19 and the height or diameter of the egg E measured by the sensor unit 13. The height or diameter of the egg E to be measured by the sensor unit 13 is: a height when a long axis direction of the egg E is made horizontal or a diameter in a direction perpendicular to the long axis direction of the egg E. The shape estimation device 1 relating to the invention can estimate the shape of the egg E through simple processing.
