A power injector having power injector control logic with a decay constantcross-referenceand one or more injection protocols that provide an exponentially decayingflow rateinjection is disclosed. The decay constant cross-reference stores flow ratedecay constantinformation to provide the above-noted exponentially decaying flow rateinjection on a modelor model number basis for an imaging unit to be used in conjunction with thepower injectorfor an imaging operation. The decay constant cross-reference may be searchedby entering amodel, model number, or some other identifier for the corresponding imagingunit, or the decayconstant cross-reference may in the form of a drop-down menu or the like thatlists a pluralityof model or model numbers of imaging units along with their associated flowrate decayconstant value.
