PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device capable of changing the operation position according to a user in an operating part of an endoscope.SOLUTION: A pad-like magnification variable operating part 29 is disposed in an operating part 15 of a scope body 11 in a magnification endoscope. The magnification variable operating part 29 has a laminated structure in which a piezoelectric membrane and a touch pad are laminated on each other. The magnification variable processing operation to move a lens group 17 is started when pressure of a prescribe threshold or larger is detected in a thick membrane. The direction of movement of the lens group 17 is determined based on the direction of a touch position with the position of recognition of the start of operation of the touch pad as the reference. A motor 26 is driven in a selected position of movement, and an optical magnification varying mechanism is driven by a torque wire 23 to change the magnification.
