Machine for cutting off tobacco leaves for eastern type plants with stem holding, for harvesting and collecting said leaves in mesh baskets. Which is composed of: A) a mechanism for holding the plant during the cutting off (figure 1.4) B) a mechanism for opening up the leaves from the plant (figure 2.H-J) C) a mechanism for cutting off the leaves (figures 2.A-G, 1.3) D) a mechanism for harvesting and conveying the leaves towards the collection baskets with pneumatic conveying (figure 1.2) E) a vehicle to which these mechanisms are fitted, and by which these mechanisms are driven (figure 3, 4) F) collection mesh baskets of two types: 1) for collecting and conveying the leaves (figure 3.2) 2) collecting, conveying and placing the leaves therein for drying (figure 4.2).
