In order to overcome the limitations and problems that earlier apparatus and methods have experienced, a cryogen injection apparatus (10 100) for injecting a cryogenic substance into a blender or mixer is proposed, said apparatus (10 100) comprising:- at least one nozzle (14 118) constructed for being in fluid communication with an interior of the blender or mixer- a heat transfer fluid (22 114) for being operationally associated by conduction with the at least one nozzle (14 118) and- a heat transfer housing (16) supporting the at least one nozzle (14 118) and having a space therein for receipt of the heat transfer fluid (22 114) to warm the at least one nozzle (14 118).A related method is also provided.
