A disposable cap (100) comprising a capsule including a coupling section adapted to seal against an ostomy port； and a collapsed, deployable bag (102) for collecting waste content from an ostomate, wherein the capsule (104) includes a cavity (106, 306) accommodating said bag (102) in a collapsed state； the cap (100) includes a sensing cover (118) attached to the capsule to close an end of the cavity (106, 306)； and the cover (118) comprises a flexible portion configured to distend outward in response to an intestinal pressure (202) while the cover (118) keeps the end of the cavity (106, 306) closed.
