SOLUTION: The crotch area 8 of the disposable diaper 1 is bent at a first bending line 35 crossing the crotch area 8, a second bending line 36 more at the front than the first bending line 35 and a third bending line 37 more at the back than the first bending line 35, and the cross section of the crotch area 8 at a position bisecting the width of the crotch area 8 is in the shape of W. In the crotch area 8, the side edge parts of the crotch area 8 facing each other across the second bending line 36 are joined with each other to form a front pocket 20 and the side edge parts of the crotch area 8 facing each other across the third bending line 37 are joined with each other to form a rear pocket 21.
