PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a three-dimensional gathered part to be appropriately raised up when wearing a disposable diaper.
SOLUTION: The disposable diaper is constituted so that gathered joint parts 90 are formed by allowing proximal end side portions in the free parts 68 of the three-dimensional gathered parts 60 to be joined with proximal end side portions in planar gathered parts 80 in a front and rear directional range of the diaper including the front and rear directional center part of the free parts 68 in the three-dimensional gathered parts 60, wherein the elastic extendable members 81 of the planar gathered parts 80 are separated in a lateral direction from the gathered joint parts 90.
